Safari Password Problem

Anyone else have this happen to them with Safari 1.1.1: you go to a site where you have a log-in set-up for Auto-Fill but the info won't show up and if you try to enter new info the dialogue box asking if you want to save your log-in details never appears? I ask because I just noticed this has happened to me (on 10.3.1).

People over on the Apple support boards seem to think that the 11-19 security update is to blame. They seem to think it wipes passwords for https sites. That is the case for some of my sites, but I just went to another https one and everything was fine. Strange. Anyone else here notice this or have a work-around?

Make sure your keychain isn't locked, that could be causing it. I don't have mine setup to do auto fill for password fields, so I can't really help you much.

Thanks for the suggestion, but my Keychain was already unlocked, so that wasn't it...

    Gabid,

This is a known bug that's appeared lately and is being discussed on Apple's own Discussion Boards. It's very annoying and you're not the only one experiencing this problem. Go to Apple's Support area, look for the Discussions area, look for the Safari discussions and you'll find the discussion....

Hope this helps...and I hope this gets resolved soon, it's a pisser.

I had found that thread before I posted here. Just wanted to see if the wiser minds here () had anything extra to share. Also I just wanted to flag the problem so that it wouldn't surprise people as it did me .

Most puzzling though that it would work on one of my https passwords though. Here's hoping that 10.3.2 takes care of things!

I'm hitting the problem running Jag 10.2.8

I'm fairly annoyed at the preferences interface for Safari, it should be much more powerful and better organized.
