That thing where people go somewhere, sit and do nothing...

Hey everyone, I need some help. I am trying to think of a recent fad that I think started on the internet where hundreds of people meet in a location and do something for a few minutes for no reason whatsoever. I saw a story on it on CNN but I can't remember what it was called...something like "rushing" or something to that effect. I specifically remember one where about 300 people went to a mall and sat down for 10 minutes and got up and left. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

It's amazing that you can talk that many people into doing something so pointless. \

Am I correct in assigning this phenomenon to Larry Niven? I was a long-time member of a listserv devoted to Larry, good group of folks.
