I just installed a superdrive and I realized I don't have iDVD. Does anybody know if it comes in panther or do I have to buy iLife?

Thanks to all who answer...

I searched in appleinsider and found the answer to my question. iDVD does not come with 10.3. I have to buy it.

Guess this thread can be closed.

Does Jaguar's version of iDVD still work with Panther?

If your computer has a built in superdrive iDVD is included. In sc_markt's case, he installed a third party drive, therefore, no iDVD.

    Hey, thanks for reminding me...

I got a PB with SuperDrive, installed Panther, no iDVD. Need to reinstall it from the original CDs that came with the unit.

In the back of the "Welcome to Panther" booklet it says

"To burn a DVD, your computer must have a SuperDrive. The iDVD application is not included with Mac OS X, but may be installed on your computer"

Yup, and if you do a Format and Install, you have to reinstall it from the original CDs that came with your machine.
