I just made an eBay purchase . Its an Indigo iMac 350. It has 576 MB of RAM, and a 60gb HD. It has OS 9 installed. The price was $400. Here are my questions:

1. Was it a good deal?

2. Will it run OSX smoothly?

3. Will it be sufficient enough to run Photoshop and Illustrator?

If any of you know about this, please help me out. I'm wondering if I made a good purchase or not. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

350 questions? How will we cope? Wait, looks like there are less.

Looking at similar auctions, http://search.ebay.com/search/search...0&BasicSearch=, it seems to be around the right price. Did it come with a DVD drive or other software?

The extra RAM will come in handy if you run Mac OS X/Photoshop.

Try starting 4 or 5 threads maybe - the 2 identical ones you have now probably aren't enough.

I don't believe that the indigos had firewire, so I have to say "Meh" on the good deal front. Modern connectivity is the single most important thing when buying an older all-in-one. $400 is not too bad, but add in shipping and a copy of Panther and you are getting awful close to the price of an eMac.

    Just my .02

I have an olde 350 slot loading Imac.

    It's greenie~blue in colour.

Thing is, I've just installed Panther on it.

I previously had 10.2 in it.

Panther does seem to be faster..

    Anyway, so far so good...

It should run Panther at a decent speed.

I've got an iMac DV (Blueberry: 400Mhz, 512MB SDRAM) that was released before the Indigo/Sage/Ruby line and it runs Photoshop 7 and Illustrator 10 ok. It's nothing spectacular, but it'll work.

I'm not, the 4 threads you started aren't necessary. Don't do that anymore please.
