Well...my luck went from bad to worse. Shipping my hot smelling 1 gig tibook to Apple for repair....so I tried to fire up my PB g4 500 that I mothballed almost a year ago.

It is totally and completely dead....tried a reset, tried changing batteries, checked the power adapter.....it simply is DOA.

Any ideas? Is there a PRAM battery that needs to be replaced after a year of non use? This thing was working perfectly when I stopped using it.

So much for a fall back tibook while my 1 gig SD version is being fixed.....I think I need a STRONG drink

lift up the keyboard, and look for a little button in the upper right.

unhook the battery and charger, BTW.

press and hold down the button for 5 seconds.

    add battery and charger.

    restart.

And if that doesn't work please consider donating it to the "Guartho likes to take things apart and play with them" materials fund.

and if you need to have shipping paid for it too, send it to the "tommy loves to try to get older Macs to work" donation center.
