quicktime not working?

Okay so I'm getting frustrated with quicktime. Every time I go to a web site that has a quicktime presentation or option for one, I get the little quicktime icon and then it switches to the broken icon. Why can't I get anything to work or quicktime web material to show up? This is with safari, it seems to work with Internet Explorer. Also, once and a while with safari-where there should be a picture I get a question mark. And I can visit the same web site mulitple times and sometimes the pciture is there and soemtiems the question mark is there. Any ideas? Thanks.

    hmm thats really weird.. i've had no problems whatsoever. check your quicktime settings, and look through safari prefs for anything that might do that. thats all i know to do.
