I recently purchased a 256 MB Cruzer mini USB flash drive. The disk now shows it only has 147 MB available, and 109 MB used! The problem is that there's nothing on the disk! I've emptied my trash and ejected the drive, but nothing works. Any suggestions?

To format: open disk utility (that's in /Applications/Utilities), choose the littl'un in the left pane, click the erase tab, choose your options, and erase.
What I would try though: open Terminal.app (/Applications/Utilities), then type
ls -al
, and then drag the disk icon of the USB drive onto the terminal window, click enter.
It will then show the entire contents of the drive, including hidden files/directories.
