Do I need to reinstall Apps?

I'm about to upgrade to a new HD and a clean install of Panther.



IIRC, apps in OSX are self contained in packages. Can I simply transfer my apps from my backup Applications folder or do I need to reinstall them all over again?

    many apps work, but some will need to be reinstalled. If it works, use it otherwise reinstall the program. It is hard to say what needs reinstalling and what doesn't.

    A lot of apps use files in your user folder. Basically all of them are going to have at least a plist file in there.
