Will the Panther probs affect iPod

All this talk about the firewire 800, will it affect the iPod when connected, I have heard of people losing all the files from their iPods. Anyone had this problem?

    I have not had a single problem with my 5 GB original edition iPod or 20 GB new (3rd) edition iPod. The original and 2nd edition versions have a software update available for them. Outside of this addressed issue, I believe the iPod functions perfectly in OS X (10.3.1).

    With the 10.3.1 update, Apple fixed the Firewire 800 issue... but it never affected iPods as they are FW400. No need to worry.
