A couple years ago I knew a way to check the date a web page was last saved by typing something in the address bar, but now I can't remember what it was. Anybody know this trick?
The only way I know of to view a files modification date is to use an FTP client (presuming you can get access as a guest to see the files in the first place).
curl -H will get you the headers, and that can include a last-modified date. But that is not always what the filesystem says the last modified date is. Your milage will vary depending on web-server software and configuration.
