What is a "normal" gap?

Tuesday, I got my new 15" powerbook. I noticed today the gap between the lid and keyboard. What is normal? Or do I need to take it in to a service center? I haven't noticed any other problems with it and the gap might not be a problem. This is my first laptop computer. Any help and advice you can offer is greatly appreciated.

This is what I did to fix the metal to metal contact. The clear stuff is the base of furniture/drawer bumpers. I cut out the base that the nubs come out of. Look at your local hardware store for drawer bumper packages and you will know what I mean.

Full Size Here Here and here

12" PB's have "built in" bumpers.

If you feel like spending some money, you can always pick up some Wildeepz cushions from RadTech.

ok, that's just wrong when the camera is good enough that you can count the pixels.

The close-ups are taken with a Canon G3 I think the lens distortion is terrrible, but detail is great. The closed PB shot was taken with a Canon 1 Ds. Benifits of being an assistant for a photographer who lets me use his equiptment because he actually wants me to learn!

Are the pictures to big for the thread?
