Will Apple make products faster than AI members invent them?

If a headless/lcd iMac appears...

and

if the Newton II rises...

and

if a portable QT media player (non-PDA) comes out...

and if etc. etc.

This indicates to ME that Apple is paying attention to its market SOMEHOW. Whether it be reading boards such as this, or other.

So, it also indicates a time-to-market. If we can trace the original web-requests for such items and see how long it took to actually bring them to market, we get a perspective on how agile Apple is or can be with its products.

And we might see how powerful free thinking on places such as AI can eventually get us the things we lust after.

My dream is that Fran will get his Newton, and that there will be a sub-notebook below the iBook, with a docking cradle (iDock), and airport-connected multimedia gadgets, too.

On the other hand, if NONE of these ever comes to market in the next 3 years, I think Apple is missing some good opportunities to harvest the great ideas around here. Just as long as they don't harvest the poor grammur and speling.

If Apple isn't reading AI, they need to. They can get lots of good ideas.
