Hi all,

For some strange reason Mail has stopped filtering out junk mail. No e-mail at all is getting put into the junk mail folder, and I get about 30+ junk e-mails a day ( I have 8 pop e-mail accounts).

All help will be greatly appreciated (the junk mail is starting to overwhelm me).

just check your rules and prefs.

Make sure your filter is still turned on. It may have gotten turned off somehow. Like ipodandimac said, check your rules too. Make sure that it is still set to filter everything you want filtered.

All the rules that I have set up manually are still being followed, but the stuff that was automatically be grabbed by the basic junk filter is just coming through to the inbox now.

Could the data base that Mail uses for junk mail filtering have become corrupted? There is an option to reset it, but then I'd have to retrain it. I can't seem to find a way to view what the auto filter thinks is junk...
