Strange window network problem

My parents have a wireless network at their house. I can connect and transfer files with their win nt laptop (from my laptop). I can not see their win xp desktop. I am running 10.3.2. I need to see this machine because it has the good photo printer connected to it. Any ideas on why I can see the nt machine and not the xp? At worst I can transfer pictures to the nt and have that print on the xp since it sees and can use its printer.

    Just turn of XP's integrated Firewall. It doesn't work well with Samba. Don't forget to install some other Firewall (Norton etc) if the PC is on the internet. You'll have to allow your Mac's IP to connect to the PC in the Firewall settings from Norton etc.
