All this talk...
You know all the babble-tronning about that Maccentral.com quote? Yeah, the one about how no new processors will be arriving for a while? Well, I just want to take this chance to say I don't buy it. Why would Apple suddenly violate their policy of "not commenting on future hardware?" There has been hype in the past, and Apple has done nothing to dismiss it. Screw that Maccentral site... awesome new stuff is coming.

Not that I care, I just thought it was funny...
People usually create Current Hardware threads in the more popular Future Hardware forum, not the other way around.

That's why I'm a miracle of modern science.
And as for you EmAn, yeah, Paris got cancelled. That's kinda the point.

apple is trying to lower our hopes for a G5 cause IT DOESN'T EXIST! they're trying to bring our expectations down from the stratusphere (?) and back to earth where they should be. don't expect the impossible. we can say what apple SHOULD release, but none of those predictions are realilistic. you can't expect apple to produce something if it doesn't exist.
(btw, i would be perfectly happy if apple was lying, but i don't see it happening.)
everyone relax, take it easy, don't expect the impossible, keep you predictions closer to reality. CHILL
CHILL! It's not gonna happen

July's Macworld is more than a few months, so they havn't ruled out G5 there yet (Although I don't expect it to show). They havn't even ruled out speed bumps of the G4. Whattayall winging about?
Really, all they said was that there are no new processors coming in the next few months. This in reality means that there will be no G5 at MWTokyo.

uggg,,,, some people just don't get it.
they did not mean processors. they meant products. NO NEW HARDWARE. Comprehendo? What the hell does Apple have to do to end this baseless speculation. they are trying and people just take what they say and interpret into what THEY want to believe.

The only baseless speculation I see @ this moment is you trying to make "CPU" == "HARDWARE".
For the record, I think we WILL NOT see speed bumps between now & MWNY on any (Apple) machine (even tho bumps would not technically mean "new" CPUS).

Actually, despite his being a jackass about it, applenut is write. Greg Joswiak (the guy quoted by MacCentral) says explicitly the Apple is content with the 4 product matrix for now and doesn't plan to change any of the 4 quadrants for the coming months (ie, until after MW Tokyo)
