Terminal Oddness

Why does it sometimes show the text I had before I cleared the window? I don't see any reason why, it seems to do it sporadically.

    ah, yep. that´s the infamous text-ghosting, it´s actually the text´s drop shadows that are generated when you have a semi-transparent terminal-background. somehow the shadows get stuck when you scroll the window, for instance. when you click onto the desktop and then click into the window again it´s gone, and the shadow masks are refreshed for the new window content. ... until the next scroll. we had that issue already back in the 10.1 days ... then it got fixed in jaguar, and now we have it again. funny, no?

    Haha well it kinda looks cool but it makes it harder to read text in the terminal and sometimes almost damn near impossible to read text behind it.

    There is this ATM neer my house that has sooo much burn that the screen is unreadable..
