hmmm... I have a 12" 1Ghz powerbook, and I love how it can go through wallpapers. but once in a while the computer will just completely freeze, and when I look at the wallpaper it looks like it half transitioned... frozen between 2 images. Is there any way to fix this?

On a mac it's called a desktop image, or desktop picture, heck I've also been known as crazy as to call it my background

I know what you meant though, and I'm sorry to hear that you having that problem. Have you just does basic permission repair?

Oh and by the way, I guess I should stop caring when people call it a wallpaper since that is what 95% of the world calls it.

"wallpaper" is so freakin stupid, it is your "desktop background". On windows they call it a desktop... not the wall. I dont care how stupid 95% of the people are. ofcourse they all think I'm an idiot for being part of the other 5%. as dennis miller says--- ofcourse thats just my opinion, I could be wrong.

I have the same machine and have been experiencing similar situations with the background images. My computer doesnt freeze, but the image seems to, where the previous selection doesnt always clear when I select a new image.

ok ok back to the subject fine the desktop background then. Well, my computer does not freeze from the desktop background, but it does stop expose' from working, quite annoying, I would have the computer scrolling through my desktop backgrounds in a 1 min rotation, and I would know when my desktop backgrounds freeze in transition because all of a sudden expose stops working... and when I close all my apps and look at my desktop background, I see a half transitioned desktop background. I wonder why my desktop background does this? is there anything I can do to improve the situation with my desktop background? I think everything in Mac is well designed except this; the desktop background. it's the only thing that cripples my computer; the desktop background. hopefully there's a way to fix this problem; the desktop background. Maybe I'll just be normal and just stick with one desktop background and stick with the desktop background. at least for a week

there, did I use the correct words enough?

Why is it that nobody ever uses the "Genius Bar" forum for this kind of stuff?

People are afraid that they won't get enough traffic I'd guess.

Tech support threads always belong in the genius bar. Put them anywhere else and you're going to get heckled like you did here.

    Moving...
