In the mean time I will point out that in the past few/no hardware upgrades have proved successfull in the console world, just ask Sega and Nintendo. I doubt Microsoft would commit Sega's mistakes. Its even more doubtfull that such an upgrade will be "performed" by "taking it in" or otherwise.
It is possible to add a bigger hard disk to the X-Box, but it aint easy (or authorized by Microsoft) and wont "improve" games.
He said after the holidays you will be able to take your xbox in to have it "upgraded" with a faster processor and RAM and disk space.
speaking of Best Buy, that place makes me sick but I keep going back for the selection of games and movies. That is after dodging 5 employees coming up trying to sell something else and asking to help you.
