Regular iPod now or in January?

Because of the holidays I now have enough money to buy a 40 GB iPod, and I would like to buy an iPod now, but all this talk of a mini iPod makes me think that they may update iPods at MWSF along with introducing mini iPods. Should I wait until Jan 6th or just buy one now?

    I have been contemplating an iPod for quite awhile.



    But with the recent G5 purchase, it was put on hold.



    I guess I should now just wait to see what the keynote brings.



    Maybe a 4G regular iPod?
