I installed Panther on my brother's 600 MHz iMac. All works beautiful. Problem is there's no DVD Player installed!?

Ok I'm stumped, I've looked everywhere trying to locate the Apple DVD Player, even all over the net. Can't find it!! What gives? H E L P !!!

Yeah, that was gonna be my first suggestion. OS X won't install a DVD player if you don't have a DVD drive. However, should you ever get an external drive, you are able to take the DVD player app off your 10.3 disks.

Yeah, it works fine. It'd be hard to get them on there without a DVD drive though.

My Powerbook 12" DVI can act as a firewire target DVD player. The optical drive shows up on my powermac when I set the powerbook to target mode.
