Print Sharing with Linux from OS X?
I have a OS X 10.2.8 box with print sharing enabled. The printer is a USB Epson C40UX. I have a small LAN with a single subnet. It has Macs, PCs and a Linux box on the LAN.
I can "see" the shared printer from other Macs on the LAN but I can't see the shared printer from my Linux (Red Hat 9) box.
Any ideas?
DO I need CUPS installed on the OS X Mac? If so, do I also need Gimp Print?
What protocol/port numbers does OS X use for sharing by default? LPR, IPP, SMB?
