Mount an NFS Share from OS X?
I have a test NFS share (export) on my local Redhat Linux 9 box. I want to try and mount it from my OS X (Panther) box. I know the share is created properly, but cant seem to figure out how to mount it from my Mac. Both computers on my local LAN.
Can I use the "Connect to Server" option in the Finder?
Do I need to mount NFS shares from the Terminal manually?
Do I have to edit my Mac's local NetInfo database in order to mount NFS shares?
Do I need to activate the NFS protocol somehow in OS X?
NFS Manager (app) seems to work, but I woul like to be able to mount NFS shares from the Finder if possible with no 3rd party apps.
I have read a lot on the web about this, and it appears that everyone has an opinion on how (and IF) it works. Even Apple's site is pretty vague.

I think you can advertise NFS shares with LDAP but I haven't yet seen a way to just browse for NFS shares as you can with SMB/AFS.
I end up adding a script with a simple mount command to the end of the /etc/rc.common.
