iPod firmware version?

It's obvious there will be a new iPod firmware version to enable the iPod Mini, probably v2.2 (can anyone at the show confirm this?)



Seeing as the Minis aren't out until next month, Apple probably hasn't finalized the firmware for release, and there's time to implement some updated features (like a new game, updated OTG playlist capability, etc.) Personally, I'd like to see multiple OTG playlists.



But I just want an update!

    Is there anything the iPod mini does differently then a full sized iPod? I don't see why it would need a new firmware.



    Although if there were a new firmware, I would like the ability to turn off charging. (When I use it with my laptop)

    Different resolution? Apple's website said the two screens were the same size. I guess they didn't go into detail on the resolutions. Oh well, swing-and-a-miss.
