Safari vs Explorer

If I have a java text box in Explorer where I enter data that spans multiple lines such as comments (or a message box such as this one) the data is then saved as a single line as long as no return or enter was pressed. If I do the same thing in Safari the wrapping of the line seems to add a return (^M) to each line.

Displaying the text in a browser window is fine but extracting the data to an xml or txt file creates problems.

Any clues anyone?

Dobby.

I think I had this error or someting similar reported as a bug to apple quite a while ago. Unfortunately, I do not remember the details, so I cannot check if the error was fixed.

    - Do you use the latest version of Safari?

    - Did you check the Safari discussions on the Apple site?
