Will WAP authentication be incorporated into AirPort (non extreem) cards?

***Ooops...I meant WPA Personal****

We are testing a wireless network here at my job. The required equipment for a Mac is an AE card. I haven't been able to get a real solid answer why, but part of it is the Cisco base station uses WPA authentication.

AFAIK, this is only available on AE cards. Is there a hardware limitation in the original AirPort cards that prevents WPA?

Might it be added in the future?

I have an AE card in my 12", so I'm fine. But my coworkers have older PBs that can only use Airport.

It's probably possible for Apple to add WPA to original AirPort, but don't hold your breath. WPA might work with Broadcom CardBus cards.

Is this a PCMIA card? Or is it an AirPort replacement?

CardBus is CardBus; it's not an AirPort replacement.
