Hi everyone, and happy new year!

I have a question about itune. I have a lot of sound effects I'd like to separate from my music. Do you know if it is possible to create a new second itune library for my sounds effects, like it is possible with iphoto.

thank you

Yes. Well I am pretty sure, I know people did exactly that when they reached iTunes old song limit for a library so they needed two.

Maybe just make a playlist of all the sound effects.

    Bingo.

Playlists are like albums... you put everything in the library, then use albums/playlists to organize.

Many of the multiple-library tricks were to get around how *SLOW* iPhoto2 has been with large libraries. It just broke them up. iPhoto 4 is apparently much much faster, so this is no longer needed.

yes I did create 42 playlist of sound effects and they are mixe with my other music. I'd like just a different library for that. Can you tell me how to create one. Thanks

My freind uses it to have two libraries, one on his removable firewire drive with *everything* on it to sync with his 40G iPod and another for the tunes he want's to carry about with him on his 20G iBook.
