Does anyone know if the DVD players in Powerbooks are all-region or region-free players?
As Apple themselves says, you can switch regions 5 times. Going from a region 1 disc to a region 2 disc back to a region 1 disc would count as changing your preference 3 times. After the 5th change, your player will be set.
Besides when you copy movies you can take away the region code with DVD BackUp.
Yes, but what DVD BackUp will do after the 5th region change, if, say, the DVD drive is set permanently to region 1 and you insert a DVD with region 2? I think DVD BackUp works only after DVD Player runs while inserting a DVD.
