Last time when iLife was updated/created iTunes/iPhoto/iMovie were able to be downloaded for free from apples site...Am I correct in saying that this did not happen this time...or am i just looking in the wrong places. I found the iTunes installer...but i already had the most recent version. I wouldn't expect GarageBand or iDVD to be downloadable because of the size of the loops and the menus (respectively of course). Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

iTunes is now the only downloadable and/or free software in the iLife suite.

As I have said in other threads, this paid upgrade is well worth it. Every single app has been slicked down and really performs like an Apple program. Not as much looking at spinning beach balls...

Definitely worth the price to buy and ship. The only question I have is how we are going to handle major updates... or do we get to pay again?

that was my other question...i have no problem paying especially since im a student 29.99...ill take that any day for a new app + a bunch of major updates...i am curious like you said if there will be more cost to iMovie etc down the line or what...i imagine that there will be some when they introduce new apps...but if it stays around the same price its ok by me
