Apple refurbished availability...indication of new products?

Does the availability of certain products on Apple's Special Deals section reveal anything about when a product might be revised?

For instance, if we see a huge supply of refurbished iMacs, does that mean it's stock that's been returned by dealers in anticipation of a new model? For that matter, where exactly are these refurbished products coming from?

    not necessarily. Some of the best indicators are promotions. Nothing is FOR SURE though.
