Pats and Cats both got to the Superbowl because they have great coaches and good players (as opposed to great players). That said, Belicheck (sp?) is the more experienced, better coahc right now, and his players are more gooder than the Panthers' guys.

The early line is that their giving the Panthers +7, so I'm going to take the Panthers outright. Anytime you disrespect a pro-caliber team like that so far ahead of the game, they win.

yah thats what i'm afraid of... but the pats have handeled people can could be "overlooked" before and they know what its like being the underdog... we do not take the panthers lightly
honestly, the panthers look a lot like my bucs from last year, and if delhomme was going to freak, it would have been in philly (and his stats reflected it, but they were "good enough").
gimme cats, 17-16.
(p.s. if true, that'll mean the last two super bowl champs will have come out of the nfc south, and atlanta and new orleans are just a few personnel decisions and one offseason away from going all the way. funny for a division considered one of the weakest during realignment)
the pats have been in this situation before.. i just don't see them loosing. i think that the panthers are great especially their great D. but i think this one comes down to coaching and its 2 great coaches but bellicheck(sp) is better
Actually...I think a good few of us are more well rounded than you give us credit for
The Panthers and Delhomme have yet to face a defense of the caliber of the Pats. They disguise coverages very well...and it's tough for even good qb's to score on them...and Delhomme is NOT a good qb. They'll knock him down a couple times...he'll get happy feet...and Ty Law and Tyrone Poole can cover anyone that the Panthers will send out there at WR. Is the Panthers' D good? They have a decent D-line....but our O-line has been solid all year, and they generally have more success against power rushers (a la Peppers) than against speed rushers (a la the Colts' Freeny or Dolphins' Jason Taylor). Their corner Manning is decent...but McNabb spent most of that game throwing with bruised ribs (and is not that accurate to begin with anyway). Bradey is a better decision maker and a more accurate passer than the Panthers have seen up until now. Do I think it will be a steam rolling? Unlikely...but if the Panthers go down two TD's early...they will have a hell of a time getting back in it.
And just FYI...installing them as 7 point dogs is entirely appropriate. They practically backed into their Division title...and the Patriots will not make the same mistakes the Rams did two years ago in underestimating their opponent. The Pats want national respect and they aren't getting it right now...and this will make them even more dangerous. I for one will be planted in front of my TV (as I have been all season) with beer in hand and my fellow Pats fans around me
I'm going to have to put my 2 cents for the Panthers. It's going to be a fight though. Jake and the guys are gonna have come with their A game.
As for the arguments against the Cats. Let them stand. If it's not a close game I'll be disappointed. I want this one to go to the wire. Can we say another OT game.

NE is one of the best teams that I have ever seen play . . .their performance the other night was non-stop perfect
I have seen them play like that before but not with the same aggressiveness as their Defense had Sunday
They will be a very tough team to beat
But The Panthers are going to pull out a surprise
one of the main reasons is that it is completely unexpected
they're gonna blind-side-em
Deshaune Fosters gonna score twice and Manning will get at least one interception!!
hen in the off season the Panthers will do the smartest thing they can: they'll do some much needed alterations on their uniform design
PS: TOwens can go to nfl Europe as far as I'm concerned!!
