Just think of who could fill the top level Administration positions in a Democratic Presidency...

Secretary of State Bill Clinton or Wesley Clark

Secretary of Defense Wesley Clark

Attorney General Eliot Spitzer (NY) or John Edwards (Sorry, Kickaha).

Secretary of HHS Howard Dean

It's truly titilating just thinking about it.

Whoa there... Weren't you hoohah-ing Dean as the clear frontrunner? Your boy did place a dstant third in Iowa, but it *is* Iowa. There's no particular good reason to think Kerry's the frontrunner after one primary.

I think all four candidates have a good shot. Clark, Dean, Kerry, and Edwards will have a divided country this fall and a good shot at the Presidency. I just don't consider Kerry for any of the cabinet-level positions. Maybe Sec of Vet. Affairs, but that's a decidedly low-level spot in my opinion. Imagine if we had Spitzer as an AG. He's positively kick-ass, going up against just about everybody and winning. Although I hear he's running for Governor of New York, possibly. Still, it'd be quite a transition from Ashcroft, whose claim to fame would be enforcing Patriot Act laws that reduced our civil liberties, enforcing maximum sentence guidelines, and, arguably, covering up the naked boobs of lifeless statues.

Spitzer is the wrong guy. He doesn't understand separation of powers. How can we allow someone with a major defect in their thinking into such an important position.

    Good question.

But, honestly, what's your beef with Spitzer again?

There's no way all those positions will be filled by people you've listed. When's the last time you saw an elected President appoint 3 people he ran against for the party nomination to cabinet positions?

Plus all those guys, except for Clinton and Dean, have current jobs they're unlikely to give up so easily.

However, I could see Mr. Gephardt coming onto a Democratic White House as secretary of labor.
