odd behaviour in finder

does anybody know what "WARNING: couldn´t find IOplatformpointer" means? the alert appears right AFTER fsck is done - and the calming message "hd seems to be OK" appeared.

    Change your homedirname in Netinfo and then then from terminal. If you create a new dir don't forget to apple the apropriate privs.

    what does all that mean, i'm not that up to date on the error messages
