Anyone else getting a hissing sound since iLife '04

Just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Since installing iLife '04, any audio that comes out of my speakers (using Apple supplied or to an external sound system via USB Audio out) has this strange 'hissing' sound. It sounds kind of like the very beggining of a record. I'm running quicktime 6.5 and 10.3.2. This also applies not only to Garage Band but iTunes as well. So it seems to be an operating system issue. I also booted off a firewire drive with 10.3.2 and listened to a song in iTunes to make sure it wasn't just my ears and the 'hissing' sound dissappeared.

Your thoughts...

    1) What hardware are you using?

    2) I don't suppose you upgraded to 10.3.2 about the same time as iLife?

iMac 17' 1Ghz, and yes I did upgrade to 10.3.2 around the same time.

Do you think that could have made the difference?

    I started hearing a hiss/crackle on my PBG415 after upgrading to 10.3.2.

I don't have any problems related to 10.3.2, but I have the same issue on YDL. Totally unrelated, I guess/hope

I too get that hissing noise only when playing bass loops in garage band. I have a 17in iMac with 800mhz. I updated to panther just before installing iLife 04.
