i dunno if it means anything, but i was seeing if google could turn up some hidden anniversary pages at apple.com, and i found a couple. the links don't work, but i have a feeling we could be seeing these in the next few days...

www.20thanniversary.apple.com/usa-s.html

if you dont believe me, do the search yourself (note that there are a lot of 20th anniv. mac products from back in 1997, but these are different i think)

Your search is like a history book; that is it pretty much confirms Apple built a very elitist computer to celebrate the company's 20th anniversary. This doesn't really say anything for a special 20th Anniversary Macintosh of any sort.

I would be highly surprised if Apple did anything special, computer-wise, that deviated from their current notebook/desktop lineup.

With the force that Apple's been driving at the last few years I wouldn't count out something big. At the last Steve-note he said that this year was going to be a big year for Apple, and said that the rest of the year was going to have a lot of new stuff, he said this moving in and out of talking about the 20th birthday coming up. I think there will be something cool, but he could have just been RDFing us...

Guys, those pages have been offline for a long time. Like, since 1997. That's the point, nothing new here.

Nothing, he was just saying that since Google picked up the URL it might be used for something soon.

A while ago I copied the entire site for historical purposes. It was about 10 pages in total.
