Finally. It has arrived. My friend, a new convert from Windows, got his iMac today, I thought I might be more excited about it than he was until I watrched him open the box to the music from 2001 a Space Odyssey (we got it all on his DV camcorder, perhaps I'll post a QT movie) Anyway, this is the first new iMac I've seen in person. What a beautiful machine, and much sturdier than it looks in the pictures. We'll be roomates next semester, 2 macs in one room, it will be wonderful .Anyway, yeah, very cool, just felt like sharing.

    Ok, it's up. The viedo of the iMac unveiling is at <a href="http://www.geocities.com/truthwriter16/imac2001.mov"; target="_blank">http://www.geocities.com/truthwriter16/imac2001.mov</a>;

    It's 1:35 long and weighs in at 9megs, I know it's a little big, but I wanted the size and quality, if you ask me it's worth it. Besides, most of you probably spent the time to download the new iMac commercial and that was 6megs for 30seconds, so you're actually getting a better deal on this one in terms of seconds/meg (10.6s/m compared to 5). Yeah anyway, check it out, it's pretty funny. (I'm the one in the blue shirt getting in the way of the camera )

    If geocities give you grief, the movie can be downloaded as a zipped file at <a href="http://homepage.mac.com/speaktruth/"; target="_blank">http://homepage.mac.com/speaktruth/</a>;

    It is the file called iMac2001.zip

    Yeah, my friend is a communications major and a big film buff.

    Over spring break, I went, with 10 of my friends to Florida. This same friend, Mark, got about 7 hours of video. His plan is ultimately to edit it down to a more polished and watchable final procuct and put it on DVD. But, because that will take a long time, he has, in the mean time, produced a trailer. I admit, it is better played fullscreen though iMovie, and is probably funnier if you know the people in it, but I imagine it is spretty amusing no matter what. Both the iMac unveiling video and the Spring Break trailer can be downloaded at <a href="http://homepage.mac.com/speaktruth/"; target="_blank">http://homepage.mac.com/speaktruth/</a>;
