ok, i was tired of my messed up battery meter, and i read that you should let your battery run all the way out every so often to re-calibrate the meter. it finally ran out today (i must say, it lasted a long time), so i plugged it into the wall and let it charge. i know it takes 3 hours for a "quick charge" to 3/4 battery or something like that, but it hasnt even been 3 hours and it already says that it's fully charged. i'm sorta worried--whats going on? has my battery life shrunk and now it doesnt take very long to charge b/c of that?

thanks.

btw: 3G 10GB

One hour brings it to 80% of full capacity, 3 hours should fill 'er up. Sounds fine to me.

I suppose you could also read the booklet that comes with the iPod that gives you that information. I suppose.

    From Apple's webpage: http://www.apple.com/ipod/specs.html

Fast-charge time: 1 hour (charges up to 80% of battery capacity)

    Full-charge time: 3 hours

Your diode (don't remember, correct circuit thingy?) to trickle the charge must be broken, I'd unplug it after 30 min just to be safe
