What is grouping in iTunes?

in iPod + iTunes + AppleTV edited January 2014
when i right-click on the bar in iTunes, i notice an option to display grouping. what is grouping?

    his has been discussed not too long ago. do a search to read more, but basically its a tag you can do whatever you want with.
