It looks like it was a good debate, and I am glad that Clark did well.
I think that he will get the Glam stuff down a little better as time passes
I think, maybe that taking third at this point in the race is actually a great strategic move . . . If I remember correctly, wasn't CLinton in just this position . . . it leaves all the sniping and neg-press on the front two and them at each others throats until the third placer can step into the light after everybody is sick to death of slander . . .
Being the (only?) resident displaced South Carolina native on this board, I feel I should comment that it doesnt give a shit who wins in that crap state. For crying out loud they elected a moron governor (well several) simply because they were republican.
So if a democrat wins the state does that mean some other state in the south might swing their way? maybe. but each state has its own identity and while it seems that they vote in a block there are very significant regional differences as for why.
That is politics at its worst and something that calls into question the trustworthiness of what Senator Kerry tells us._ Don't give us dodges talking about what you have said publicly._ Give us straight talk, like the General did.
Last night, General Clark did what he needed to do in the debate, showing himself a cut above the rest._ He is leading in polls in Oklahoma, tied for the lead in Arizona, and in among the best financial shape of any candidate in the race.
Clearly, General Clark is among the frontrunners at the moment._ Now if he would just deal with the 900 pound elephant doing everything possible to ignore him and write him off, by next Wednesday he could be sitting in the driver's seat.
This morning would be the perfect opportunity - fresh off a great debate performance and with strong standing in the polls - for Clark to begin to comment about the non-M/I media's coverage of him, or lack thereof._ He has to be aware of it, and not to deal with it is dishonest._ And dealing with it under the current circumstances would absolutely have an immediate effect on the coverage he is receiving.
But we will have to see if the General is ready to take advantage of last night's victory or is willing to let it - and him - be tossed by the wayside.
In either case, last night the General showed us all why his is the best candidate for President of the United States._ For one thing, he is able to open his mouth without blathering nonsense flying out._ And at The Moderate Independent, we always consider that a big plus._ And in this Democratic field, it is a rare trait indeed.

hmm . . . well, we'll see
1. Sharpton
2. Dean
3. Edwards
4. Kucinich
5. Kerry
6. Clark
7. Lieberman
Both Clark and Kerry seemed to be using a lot of stolen Dean lines.
