x86 Darwin on PPC using bochs

I want to install various x86 Darwin ports on my Mac. I don't care if it's slow, so I'm planning on using bochs to imulate an x86 computer. I asked some folk at another forum about how to do this, but I like you all here at AppleInsider better, so I thought I'd ask all of you as well. Below are some steps to install bochs, but I don't knowe how to progres past step 5. If you could help me get further, that would be great.

How to install bochs onto Mac OS X

If someone can write steps 5 and above then this will also be instructions on how to get Darwin x86 running on a Mac.

1. Download bochs for Mac OS X

\t- This is not the most current version of bochs, but it is the easiest to install.

\t- Bochs-2.0.2.dmg can be found at http://www.osxgnu.org/

2. When the volume, which is called _dmg_top has been mounted, copy its contents, a folder named Bochs-2.0.2 to your applications folder.

3. The following instructions are taken from http://bochs.sourceforge.net/doc/doc...ser/book1.html

\t- Unmount the bochs volume.

\t- Double click the bochs.scpt which is within the ~/Applications/Bochs-2.0.2/dlxlinux/ directory.

\t- When the terminal asks you to choose an option 1-6, simply press return to select 5, the default option.

4. Linux will now startup. When the dlx login: prompt appears, type root and press return. To logout, type restart and press return. While it is restarting, press the power button in the harware bar. It is a circle with a verticle bar in it at the top-right corner of the screen.

5. This is as far as I have gotten thus far. There are two web pages that look like they could help.

\t- The first is at http://bochs.sourceforge.net/doc/doc...ser/book1.html within section 8, Tips and Techniques, under the subheading How to make a simple disk image.

\t- The second is at http://www.opendarwin.org/doc/en/art...ing_on_x86.php which states how to boot on x86.
