G5 $200 rebate?

It looks like microcenter has posted the G5 1.6 on their front page for $1599 ($1799 and a $200 mail-in rebate from Microcenter.)



Does this mean that they are trying to clear the inventory channel? Is this more evidence for a nice power bump in the G5?

    Of course not everyone reads every thread. This one was not a just a repeat and was very targeted. Get over it.

    ok ok... i HATE mail in rebaits yes the spelling IS on purpose

    mail in rebaits are a screw job done very effectively by the pc and component/periferal industry.



    i send in a rebait and get NOTHING for 3+ months. If that is my money then why do i get no interest on the 3+ month turn around? its a principal thing not a fiscal thing, althow these bastards do add up.

    Refurbished 1.6 G5s are $1399 & the single 1.8 is is $1699.

    Also, all iPods and some accessories are 10% off today and tomorrow only!

    ah the apple store I thought you ment the other site. 10% would be roughly be the same as the tax I would have to pay on the apple store \
