17" imac lcd "stripes"

I have a 17" imac . . . on the lcd display there are about 30 vertical stripes. They look about 1 pixel wide . . . the entire band of stripes is about 3 inches wide and runs the entire height of the screen. Any thoughts?

    Yikes. It sounds like something is bad with the internal LCD connection.



    Do you have an Apple store within driving distance where you can take it in for repairs?
