If you want portability get the notebook, if you don't get the eMac

Get all that you can afford processor wise and then up the ram later. If portability wasn't a factor, the eMac would be my choice. BTW, this should be in General Discussion.

New message? As in "post reply" or "post new topic"? Both are at the top and bottom of each page and there are links to reply to a post. Just look around, you'll find them.

Re: the ram thing: you can do it yourself. It's dead simple. There are instructions in the manual. If you're not comfortable doing that, I'm sure you'd have no trouble finding someone who would take your $30 for 2 minutes of work.

On it? Sure. In it? No. You can't upgrade anything in the eMac besides the hard drive and ram. If the HP printers have ethernet connections, not that legacy parallel port stuff you can use them. If not, it's time to move the 21st century and get a printer without legacy connections.

edit: if you wanted to keep your graphics card, you would have never considered the laptop. Careful or you'll be called a troll. Just a word of warning.

you really need to try and get at least 512MB of ram... thats more important than processor speed for what youre talking about...

RAM is cheap and easily obtainable later. You can't really easily upgrade your proc. If it came to a choice between 200mhz and some ram, I'd take the mhz.
