When TV Dads First Walked the Earth

I never realised how many TV dads there were until I stumbled across this site.

http://www.tvdads.com/tvd5060.shtml

It brought some moments of nostalgia and happiness to think upon times when things seemed so much simpler and wholesome.

My three favourite dads will probably always be:

Father knows Best : Fred MacMurray

Any Griffith Show : Andy Taylor

&

Bill Cosby : In the self titled series.

My how times have changed.

I miss you guys one and all.

As a dad now (with three boys) I can only hope that I can live up to and follow the example set forth by "Andy Taylor". He was compassionate, caring, and protective. He also knew when to be stern and when to use appropriate discilpine. He knew how to enjoy even the simplists of life pleasure with Opie. I still whistle that opening tune.

No need for the apostrophe. Mods, can we change this egregious grammatical error?

I find it disturbing that almost EVERY current TV dad is a bumbling moron without a set of testicles.
