    Always have a backup plan. Really.



    I've been offered jobs that never materialized. One was the only reason I returned to the States once, only to have it disappear the day after I got back. It happens, and you just can't take it personally.



    But you can prepare for it by having that backup plan. School of hard knocks and all, it sounds like it sucks for your friend, but without a *signed contract*, you never count on anything in business, and even then... have a backup plan.

    message was there and now its gone.. so maybe he did get it? and he just wasnt patient enough to wait? either way, sh*t happens. I got hired for a position, and when I started, they didnt give me that one, but a lower one, and they gave the position I was interviewed and hired to, to the bosses buddy, and she doesn't actually do the job..(and she isnt good looking either so who knows why)..
