I would have thought the "premature specification" would have made it.

MS just embarrasses themselves day in and day out by sucking as hard as they do. Does that count?

MS orders a bunch of G5's, employee blogs them - no problem.

MS puts a couple of swastikas in a font - no problem.

Their immature, kneejerk reactions to both occurrences are the reason for the company to be embarrassed. Kick out an employee for photographing G5's when everybody knows Microsoft has a Mac products division? Issue apologies and release "decontamination utilities" for a general-nature symbol in a symbol font? (If someone doesn't know, swastikas are originally Buddhist symbols that have a lot of meanings. Among other things, I've seen a swastika in a central place in my former school's roof woodcuttings, made circa 1900. Also see this.)

I admit I did not read your link and am not an expert on symbols.. But, was the swastika in the font tilted at an angle? I thought I remember reading some place that the only difference between the nazi swastika and the Buddhist one was the angle it was displayed at. I dunno I could be wrong..

Symbolism of hatred cannot be tolerated in this day and age.

But what if you were writing some sort of paper and needed to use it? I don't think it's good to ignore its existence.
