DDS file format converter tool ?

I need to convert DDS files to JPEG (or any other picture format) on a Mac, and also convert jpeg files back to DDS. Do you have an idea how to do this ?



DDS = Direct Draw Surface is a special picture format with compression from NVidia which permits a direct loading into video memory. There are some windows tools on their official web site :

Apparently, there's nothing for the Mac there. So you guys, pros out there, do you know something about this ? Any suggestion (except using a PC) ? Photoshop (by default) don't know anything about DDS files.

Ok, so here is what I am using to edit Halo Demo. Aorta is a program that will convert some .dds, but others I have no luck with and I have no idea why that is.
