Xserve G5-what's the shipping date?

I've recently ordered an Xserve G5 for my department, but I haven't received an order number yet. Has anyone ordered one yet? If so, when did you order and what shipping date are you being quoted?



FYI, I ordered a BTO single G5 model.

    End of February. I haven't ordered one, but I thought that that was the assumed ship time. Sorry I don't have an exact date for you.



    Edit: Just saw that you BTO, it should take longer. BTO orders always do, thats probably why you don't have a ship date yet.

    Actually it's not that I haven't gotten a ship date from Apple, it's just that the hulking bureaucracy that I work for hasn't given me a ship date to work with...



    I am left to guess!

    Well-I found out why I couldn't get an order number-they didn't actually order it till yesterday. Apple's site is quoting me 8 weeks too!



    That friggin sucks. Has anyone who ordered right after the product announcement gotten theirs yet?
