Can't Drag and Drop in Mail

Hi,



On one system I maintain the Apple Mail program no longer accepts drag and drop for anything. I use this a lot to create new messages with attachments.



I have found no other problems with Icons or drag and drop with other applications.



System is 700 MHz iMac CRT with >700 MB RAM running 10.3.2



So far I have:



1) booted from Panther CD and 'repaired disk' no problems found

2) repaired permissions - no found associated with Mail

3) trashed permissions and Mail folder (temporarily in Trash)

4) Copied Mail.app from another system with (3) above

5) run Cache out X



Nothing has changed this behaviour in any way I could detect.



Any other ideas?

    Now I have found that I can't drag address out of the address book onto the desk top on this computer and user.



    Any Ideas
