iBook Display Problem...
Hello all,
A family member recently acquired a 366 MHz iBook, and it works well except for one thing. I cannot seem to change the colour setting in the Display preferences.
When it was acquired, I wiped the HD and installed Panther, (and not OS 9), and the display calibration problem seems to be the only issue I've seen. If I click either one of the two settings in System Preferences, (Generic RGB Profile, or sRGB Profile), the computer beeps at me, and that's it ? nothing else happens. If I click the "Calibrate..." button, the assistant opens up with a dialog saying it can't find the factory settings, with a "Quit" button.
What's the deal here? It would be nice to change it as the current setting looks like OS X is too bright and washed out etc...
Everything else seems to be in tip top condition...
Thanks in advance. m.
