I just went to my local store, and picked up my first mac ever, a G4 1.25Ghz 15" Powerbook.

Well...now that I have one. I don't really know what to do.

Where do I start? What are some break-in procedures I should follow?

Any suggestions will be VERY helpful.

I feel like such a newbie... I'm glad to have switched tho.

Thanks for all your input in advance!

Maciej.

Congratulations, I am happy that you too have made the leap. And to think, you actually looked first. Impressive.

Well, I don't think you will really be a true mac user until you have downloaded and run this little gem.

I was at an OpenDoc developers conference waaaaay back when, and the Apple guys going over things had a Jared "object" embedded into the project they were working on. They made a statement to the crowd, "And I think it should just be required to have this embedded in every document you make."
